DRAFT — REQUIRES LEGAL REVIEW BEFORE LAUNCH. This text has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer and is not legal advice.
Bidders
We collect your company name, contact email, message, logo and destination URL. Company name, message, logo and destination are public. Your email is private and used only for receipts, refunds and moderation notices.
Visitors
Clicks on the button are counted for the current owner. For each counted click we store a salted, truncated one-way hash of your IP address and your browser user-agent string, purely to rate limit and de-duplicate clicks. Raw IP addresses are never stored and this data is never published.
Cookies
We use only essential storage needed to keep you signed in as an administrator. No third-party advertising trackers are used.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, which receives the data required to charge your card. We never see or store full card details. Refund timing is determined by Stripe and your card issuer or bank; we cannot promise a specific number of days.
Retention
Public ownership history — company name, message, logo, destination, amount, reign and click totals — is kept permanently, because that is the point of the Hall of Fame.
Click-level data: the IP hash and user-agent recorded with each click are automatically erased 7 days after the click, by a scheduled job that runs at least hourly. Only the anonymous click rows and the aggregate per-owner click counts remain after that.
Bidder email addresses are kept as long as needed for accounting, refunds and dispute resolution.
Your rights
